Mattel and Toys R Us wanted to promote a new Hotwheels branded children’s bicycle for the holiday season. With several thousand young boys and tweens playing games on the Mattel and Hotwheels brand website each month, an online game was the perfect promotional vehicle.
Game play was paramount. So the ability to perform increasingly difficult tricks, and collect trophies for their trophy case, made the game play addictive. The re-play value of the game ensured continued promotion of both brands.
